iSmithers is pleased to announce TPE 2012, the fifteenth international thermoplastic elastomers conference, to be held in Berlin, Germany, from 7-8 November 2012.

We are now recruiting speakers for this prestigious event, so whether you manufacture TPEs, or are using TPEs in your applicational area (particularly if you are considering starting to use TPEs for a specific application), this conference is a great opportunity to talk to the leaders in this fast-moving sector.

Featuring a number of highly topical papers, this conference will cover all aspects of this fascinating and rapidly developing field. Bringing conference delegates up-to-date with the latest developments in this area, it is intended that this conference will focus particularly on end use applications and feature sessions on:                                                            

• TPEs with significant bio-content
• Developments for medical applications
• High Temperature TPEs
• Developments for the automotive sector
• Production and innovation in a recession

Papers are particularly encouraged in these areas however we would also welcome papers on:  

• Other end user applications for TPEs such as personal care, appliances, toys, tools, sports and leisure and any of the many other applications.
• TPE market overview: current and future trends, especially with respect to Asia
• TPE material developments, particularly TPVs, TPOs, SBCs, TPUs, COPEs and COPAs, and biopolymer TPEs
• New TPE compounds, and additives such as fillers, process improvers, stabilisers, flame retardants, and speciality chemicals.
• General issues such as REACH, and impact on the TPE industry.

Presenting authors at TPE 2012 will be entitled to free registration on both days of the conference including lunches, refreshments and a copy of the proceedings.
