Book together with "Understanding & Implementing CLP" to get the full picture!

27January 2010, Brussels

REACH has changed the regulatory environment for all companies in all sectors in the European Union and has now been in place for almost three years. The challenges facing industry have changed as the Regulation has moved forward and these challenges have now been increased following the introduction of the CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) Regulation which largely implements the GHS (Globally Harmonised System for the classification and labelling of chemicals) in the European Union (EU).

Companies increasingly seek detailed responses to complex problems. With this in mind, iSmithers is organising two one-day events back-to-back to explore two issues of major concern to industry in greater detail than is usually possible.

The first event, Managing SVHCs under REACH, taking place on 27 January 2010 will address how substances of very high concern (SVHCs) are addressed in REACH.  Relevant issues include authorisation, the candidate list, stakeholder 'black lists', communication requirements (Article 33), testing for SVHCs in articles, and supply chain management and communication.

The second event Understanding & Implementing CLP on 28 January 2010 will focus on the requirements in the CLP Regulation. The scope will be broader whilst focussing on the priority areas such as the deadline for classification and labelling of substances, and notifications for the classification and labelling inventory, both of which have a December 2010 deadline.

The two events have been developed for industry, regulators and service providers to help ensure that they understand the practical implications for them from the SVHC requirements in REACH and the requirements placed on industry by the CLP Regulation.

Conference Workshops

We are also including 3 in-depth workshops to enable companies to assess, review and streamline their REACH and CLP activities. The workshops will be an ideal accompaniment to the conferences but can also be booked as stand-alone sessions. Please download the conference brochure for more details.

Conference Language

Please note that the conference will be conducted in English.

Conference Prices

We have a number of discounts available to delegates registering before 13 November, those registering as a team of three or more people, or those booking multiple products (workshops and both days of the conference). We are also offering a discount to those from SMEs.
